Here are some of the cute outfits you might have seen over the weekend at the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown 2009, in New Orleans.
Some are vintage like, some are not…But i liked them so i figured i should take pictures and share it with you guys.

I do love vintage clothes, but unfortunately, they are really hard to find and most of the time don’t fit at all, specially when you’re a midget. So i decided to show some modern clothes i like and details about it that make it look really glamorous or vintage to me.

Grey Gardens starring Drew Barrymore as “Little” Edith Bouvier Beale and Jessica Lange as “Big” Edith Bouvier Beale was such a touching and bittersweet film; capturing the essence behind the 1975 documentary. Costume designer Cat Thomas had to span the 1920’s through the 1970’s and did so with a harmonious and humorous eye. Trying to dress characters that were based on true eccentrics~ without turning them in to caricatures~ is crucial not only to believability, but to building a relationship between the character herself and the viewer.

Aside from how fun these can be, I think all lindy hopping ladies should have a pair of skin colored tights, a good pair of black hose, and a hot pair of fishnets in their wardrobe. You can buy your basics at a Nordstroms, Macy’s, Dillard’s, etc or for an emergency pair run to your local drug store. And if you feel like your underwear should go the extra distance of keeping your wobbly-bits in place, then you should get a pair of Spanx. No only do these body-shapers smooth everything out, but they hold you in!
