Downtown Abbey Series 4 – 1920s stylings….

Some beautiful new outfits in Series 4 of Downton Abbey so far. As always, Lady Edith seems to always sport the most stunning enembles sand revealing gowns. Many are bright colours and heavily beaded. She wears head scarves so well.

Happy birthday Carole Lombard

Carole Lombard was my favourite actress from the 1930s and if I had only 1% of her style and beauty I would be happy! On October 6, 1942 she wasÂ killed when the TWA DC-3 plane she is traveling in crashes en route from Vegas to LA.Â She was only 33.

Was looking at all the lovely hats for sale in my shop and thought they were worthy of a post of their own. So many different styles and materials and textures. The hot pink 50s topper is so bright and cheery and the 40s velour number with the bow is just amazing!
