Some lovely items this month: 1940s soft linen dress, lots of 1940s and 50s earrings and an amazing pair 1940s brown cord shoes.

I have five glorious pairs of 1940s (some maybe very early 50s) for sale in the shop this month. All fine examples of the many shoe styles that were available at the time. One pair is pretty much deadstock and comes with it’s original box, dated 1944. My favourite is the beaded shoes with the plastic vamp. Very elegant. If my shoe size wasn’t an 8.5 I’d be keeping two of these pairs for myself!
I’ve been a little bit slack at posting the new shop finds, been very busy lately. But, as promised, here ar few of the beauties I have added there of late. A 20s dress and magazine, 30s suit set, a few 40s dresses and shoes, 40s linen blouse, deadstock gloves and some handbags and a 50s swing coat Enjoy!
Hi all! I have been busy putting more items into my Etsy store – Violet’s Vintage Emporium – including an amazing 40s blouse, some bakelite bangles, mens ties, 1920s shoes and a few other things. I’ve featured a few items here so I hope you enjoy looking. If you would like to keep up to date with all the listings, join my VVE facebook page.
For all my 1940s loving friends…I have been scanning some of the great ads in vintage magazines that I own and thought I would share them as some of the shoes are simply stunning. Most of the pics are featured in a mid 40s Sears and Roebuck catalogue and the other is from the 1943 British magazine – Britannia. I love the Specators and the ‘Kumfees’. Great name 🙂
